​Alternate Public Defender at Albany County Office

J.D. 2007 - Albany Law School 
 

          Tina K. Sodhi currently serves as the Alternate Public Defender at the Albany County Office of the Alternate Public Defender, where she leads an office that provides legal representation in family and criminal matters to people who cannot afford to hire an attorney.

          Before being appointed as the Alternate Public Defender, her entire career was dedicated to representing indigent individuals in criminal matters as an Assistant Public Defender for Albany County.

         She received a B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Society, a minor in Political Science from the University of California, an Irvine, and a J.D. from Albany Law School.

         Tina serves on the Executive Board as a Secretary for the Chief Defender's Association of New York, co-chair of the Committee for Public Service with the Albany County Bar Association, and a Board member for the Capital District Women's Bar Association. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York State Defender's Association, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Tina also serves as a member of the Third Department Appellate Division - Committee on Character and Fitness for Attorney Admissions.

       Outside of her professional life, Tina enjoys exercising and traveling. She also enjoys watching her two daughters play soccer and basketball and manages one of her daughter's soccer teams.
